Important Information
The processing time provided is the duration for the passport to be received after the scheduled appointment.
Appointment System
The Passport Office uses an appointment-based system. The processing time for all services is dependent on the availability of the next appointment and is not guaranteed. Currently, the waiting period for an appointment is approximately two weeks.
Once a complete application is received, ALLVisa will schedule the earliest available appointment and attend the interview to submit the documentation on the applicant's behalf. Be aware that the Passport Office may charge full fees for canceled appointments. These fees are non-refundable and cannot be disputed by ALLVisa.
Documentation Date
All documents must be dated within one month prior to the scheduled appointment date.
Documents Required for Your Passport:
Passport
- The original applicant's second passport for renewal
- A clear colour copy of the other passport's information page and all pages, regardless of stamps/visas
If the applicant's current passport has few or no visas/stamps (e.g., a new passport), the previous passport with visas and stamps must also be provided.
Photographs
You need to provide a digital passport-style photograph. You can either:
- Obtain a photo with a code from an approved photo booth or shop. Choose the option to get a code with your photos. Send the code to ukpassport@allvisa.co.uk along with your order number.

Proof of Name Change
If you need to provide evidence of a name change, you can use one of the following documents:
- Original Marriage Certificate
- Original Deed Poll Certificate
- Original Decree Absolute along with your Original Birth Certificate if you are reverting to your maiden name after a divorce
- Proof of Status if you are adding a title to your name (e.g., Dr, Dame, Sir, etc.) provide proof of the title. If you hold two passports, you will need to update the title in both.
Name Change Before Ceremony
If you wish to apply for a passport in your new name before your marriage ceremony, you will need to provide an Original PD1 and PD2 form. These forms can be obtained from your clergy or registrar before the marriage. Make sure to read and understand all the information on the PD1 & PD2 forms carefully if you are applying for a post-dated passport.
Changing Name Due to Divorce
If you are changing your name due to a divorce, please provide the following additional documents:
- Two bank statements showing the new name
- Two recent utility bills showing the new name
- A personal statement confirming that you no longer use your old surname
Passport Application Form
Submit one completed and signed original Passport Application form. This form must:
- Be obtained from your local Post Office or requested from AllVisa. Copied forms are not accepted.
- Have sections 1, 2, 3, and 9 completed
- Be filled out with a black ballpoint pen. Minor mistakes can be crossed out with a black pen. Correction fluid is not allowed.
- Be completed in block capital letters
- Have all answers within the white boxes on the form
- Provide daytime contact phone numbers where requested
- Provide a UK-based address
- Comply with all printed instructions
- Include section 8 explaining why the original current passport is not present, if only a copy is available
- If the original current second passport is lost/stolen, section 8 must include a reference number of the report
Letter of Authorisation
Provide originals of all four Authorisation Letter templates from the AllVisa Application Kit, filled out and wet-signed.
AllVisa Order Confirmation
Include the AllVisa Order Form from this kit.
Dual Nationals
Dual national applicants must submit both original passports.
Documents Kept by HMPO
If any original supporting documents are held by HM Passport Office and not returned to AllVisa, they can be returned separately by HM Passport Office using secure delivery. However, this service costs an additional £5 including VAT, payable upfront and non-refundable if HM Passport Office decides to return the original documents to AllVisa. In that case, AllVisa will arrange to return the documents separately.
Service Fees
The cost of the six-day passport service, includes guaranteed return delivery of all supporting documents provided, in addition to the fees listed. This is a lodging-only service. Once your application has been submitted, your order will be closed, as the Passport Office will send the completed passport directly to the applicant.
Please note that the stated fees do not include the possible £5 secure delivery fee (explained in the "Documents Kept by HMPO" section). The total price of your order will depend on the services you select and the number of business days required for processing, starting from the day we submit your application. AllVisa service fees apply per application and exclude VAT, Passport Agency fees, and third-party charges.
