Important Information
The processing time provided is the duration for the passport to be received after the scheduled appointment.
Appointment System
If you are a citizen of Nigeria by birth, descent, adoption, registration, or naturalisation, you are eligible to apply for a Nigerian passport, as long as you meet all legal requirements.
The Passport Office uses an appointment system for all passport applications. Applicants must visit the Immigration Office in person for biometric data capture. Once you have provided all the necessary materials for your passport application, AllVisa will schedule your appointment for biometric data capture at the Immigration Office.
Please note that all payments made to the passport office are non refundable.
Documents Required for Your Passport:
Letter of Identification or Introduction
- A letter of identification from the Local Government/State of origin or residence, or a National Identity Card.
- Alternatively, a letter of introduction for government employees, confirming Nigerian citizenship, service number, length of service, and designation/rank. This letter must be accompanied by a valid staff identity card.
Completed Passport Application Form
- Submit a fully completed and signed passport application form.
Marriage Certificate
- Provide a marriage certificate, if applicable.
Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
- A Birth Certificate issued by the National Population Commission is required for applicants born on or after December 1992.
- Alternatively, an Age Declaration attached with one passport-sized photograph and endorsed by a Commissioner for Oaths can be provided.
National Identification Number (NIN)
- Provide a copy of your NIN.
Photographs
- Provide a passport-style photograph. Should be endorsed on the reverse side by the consenting parent(s).

- Include the AllVisa Order Form from this kit.
Service Fees
The cost of the six-day passport service, includes guaranteed return delivery of all supporting documents provided, in addition to the fees listed. This is a lodging-only service. Once your application has been submitted, your order will be closed, as the Passport Office will send the completed passport directly to the applicant.
Please note that the stated fees do not include the possible £5 secure delivery fee (explained in the "Documents Kept by HMPO" section). The total price of your order will depend on the services you select and the number of business days required for processing, starting from the day we submit your application. AllVisa service fees apply per application and exclude VAT, Passport Agency fees, and third-party charges.
